Formats
On Deastore.com you may find e-books in the following formats :

  • EPUB not encrypted. This format has no usage or copy (DRM) limitations. See your e-reader technical documentation to check if it is compliant with this format.
  • Encrypted EPUB. This format allows you to read the digital book with any device and to choose the size of the character and the page.
    EPUB file may be used in both environment Windows e Mac OS X (ver. 10.4.10 e 10.5 up), on many mobile devices, and on the majority of e-books readers.
    The DRM device applied to the file is provided by Adobe, and Adobe Digital Editions must be installed on your personal computer if you want to maintain your e-book library . The Adobe Digital Editions program may be downloaded free . For more info see
    Please remind that if your PC is not supporting Adobe Digital Editions you will not be able to download your
    e-book library and you will not be able to read the EPUB files purchased on Deastore.com or download them to other devices.
  • PDF unencrypted. These files are readable on any device, even on UNIX environment. Adobe Reader or other PDF file reader are required to read . For more info see
  • PDF encrypted. This format is similar to PDF unencrypted but is encrypted by DRM and requires Adobe Digital Editions on the PC in order to save your e-library. For more info see
  • Microsoft Reader (LIT) for Windows PC and Pocket PC. These are Microsoft technologies encrypted e-books . In order to read these files a PC or pocket PC with a Microsoft operating system or a Microsoft Reader program is required. This can be downloaded free from Microsoft. These files may be ecrypted by DRM reading policy.
  • EReader (ex Palm) with DRM eReader. You need to download a reading software compatible with your PC operating system , or your mobile device (smartphone, pocket pc, palmOS etc.) in order to read these files.

    Publishers are regulating their e-books formats, and therefore DEA is not able to supply e-books in different formats from the one settled by publishers.
    If you are not able to find the e-book you want to buy , in the appropriate format for your device, we are suggesting you to write directly to the publisher.
    Date encryption and DRM are regulated by our data supplier and not by Deastore.com.
    Considering the different varieties of data formats we are encouraging you to pay more attention when you make an order for an e-book, and to buy only e-books which are compatible with your hardware and software reading device. We suggest you to follow the instructions on your reading device before placing an order.

E-Books with geographical constraint
Some e-books have geographical constraint, and therefore may be sold only in specific Countries.
These restrictions are fully detailed in each product info.
In these cases Deastore.com will verify that the customer is resident in the Country able to purchase the item , during the order processing procedure.
In case the customer is resident in a Country with geographical constraint for a product the order will automatically not be fulfilled and the customer will not be charged.
The majority of our e-book products will not have geographical constraint and may be purchased all over in the world.
DRM
E-books are distributed under some restrictions regulated by the publisher and by the data supplier. These restrictions may apply to ( as an example) the number of copies a customer may download from a single file, the number and type of different reading device a customer may use, the number of printing copies and if or how many times it is possible to copy and paste a portion of the text, etc.
Restrictions are fully detailed in each product info and are reported in the search results.
During the order processing the customer has to confirm to accept the rules and restriction policy of the product he wants to purchase.
